Workers' Compensation Pamphlets

Employers are required to give a Workers' Compensation pamphlet to all new employees as well as onsite independent contractors. It should be readily available without them asking you or another supervisor for the pamphlet


Employers are required to give a Workers' Compensation pamphlet to all new employees. The pamphlet informs employees about their rights to workers' compensation benefits should they become injured at work. The pre-designation form in this pamphlet is for the employee to designate who he or she wants to treat them for industrial injuries.

The Workers’ Compensation pamphlet describes:

  • The workers' compensation benefits program, including the types of benefits available
  • Information about how to pre-designate a physician who will provide treatment for industrial injuries
  • What to do if there is a dispute
  • The penalties for making fraudulent claims
  • What to do if the employee becomes injured at work
