The Health Care webinar will be presented by Darren Willcox – Director of the Health Care Practice at Dutko Worldwide. Darren spent 10 years on Capitol Hill, playing a leadership role in every health care bill considered by Congress, first serving as an aide to Congressman Porter Goss and then as a senior policy adviser to the Speaker of the House, J. Dennis Hastert. From 2001-2004, Darren acted as the Speaker’s point person on all health care and Social Security issues. Darren assumed the role of principal House Leadership staffer in the effort to enact the Medicare Modernization Act, legislation to reform the Medicare program and create the first-ever prescription drug benefit in Medicare.
Darren leads Dutko’s health care team and provides strategic counsel for clients in a variety of sectors, including leaders in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical-device industries.
In 2004, Darren was recognized by National Journal magazine as one of a handful of key policymakers in the area of pharmaceutical pricing.
